Hello, and welcome to my horror blog! If you’re so inclined, please mosey over to the “About Me” section of my blog. Don’t worry, I didn’t delve into my (sob) story of a life. There’s only a little blurb about me and what my blog will be about. Pretty basic reading, honestly.
Anyway, onto the post!
Every month, I will give you a horror movie recommendation, as well as some information about the movie. If you’ve seen it, great! Let’s talk about our favorite scenes and characters and what we love/didn’t like about the movie. If you haven’t seen it, then you get a movie recommendation! (Just don’t go into the comment section until you’ve watched the movie.)
So without further ado, the movie for the month of April is … insert drumroll here …
APRIL FOOL’S DAY (1986)
(I own nothing. Everything is the property of their respective owners. No copyright infringement is intended.)
Starring: Amy Steel, Deborah Foreman and Jay Baker (to name a few).
Summary: A group of friends are escaping to an island their friend Muffy owns for spring break, which just so happens to coincide with April Fool’s Day. Of course, jokes and tricks can’t be helped, but things turn deadly when members of the group start being picked off one by one.
Click here to watch the trailer. (And while the trailer does show you most of the scenes from the movie, they don’t really reveal any spoilers.)
To be honest, this is in my top ten of favorite horror movies. It blends horror, comedy and has a surprise twist I wasn’t expecting. If you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about. (And maybe you saw it coming, but give me a break, okay? I was around seven when I watched it.)
It’s a great movie for laughs, suspense and of course, it fuels my horror cravings. What is your favorite part in the movie? Your favorite character? Let me know!
